But there are many steps in this long journey where you might wonder if immigrating to Canada will even happen for you. There are a ton of ways that one could immigrate to Canada these days; however, some methods carry a higher risk than others – that’s why we’re here today! This article will cover all the different ways of immigrating to Canada and how they compare, with a focus on the easiest methods.

1. Express Entry Program

The Express Entry Program is a popular immigration stream that can be used to immigrate to Canada. The program has three sub-categories: Federal Skilled Workers Program, Federal Skilled Trades Program, and Canadian Experience Class.

To qualify for admission under the Express Entry program, candidates must secure a minimum point score of 67 out of 100 on their assessment grid.  The Express Entry program is a new immigration model for skilled workers.

It focuses on talented and skilled workers who are efficiently working in Canada and desire to make skilled candidates in the country.  Canada will have 30,50,000 new Permanent Residents (PR) in its domain through the Express Entry model by the end of the year 2022.

2. Family Class Sponsorship

Family sponsorship is a cornerstone of Canada’s immigration policy. You must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident to sponsor your relative

The Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) is a popular route for immigration to Canada. There are four PNP channels: Ontario Immigration Nominee Program (OINP), Saskatchewan Immigration Nominee Program(SINP), Nova Scotia PNP, and New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program. Manitoba, Prince Edward Island, and Alberta have their own PNP programs while British Columbia and Quebec use the Canadian Federal PNP program.

To be nominated for the PNP, you must meet specific requirements including being a citizen of an eligible country, having a valid visa or work permit in your name, and having met all the required financial obligations in your home country.

5. Canadian Investor Immigration

There are two types of Canadian Investor Immigration: the Federal Immigrant Investor Program and the Quebec program. Both programs require that applicants have a high net worth and make a large investment in an approved investment fund for 5 years.

Individuals can make a refugee claim in Canada at a port of entry or at an inland CBSA or Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) office. They must demonstrate why they can not go back to their home country.

The Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program recruits newcomers to the Atlantic provinces of New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland and Labrador.

1. Work Permit with a Job Offer

To apply for a work permit with a job offer, an LMIA must be secured from Service Canada. The applicant must then apply for the work permit after the LMIA is approved. Under Express Entry, Canada receives immigration applications online and applicants who meet eligibility criteria submit an EOI to the Express Entry Pool.

Skilled workers are admitted under two programs: federal or provincial skilled worker programs at both federal and provincial levels. Provincial Nominee Programs (PNP) allow almost all of Canada’s provinces and territories to nominate skilled workers for admission to Canada with the specific skills required by their local economies.

After graduating from a Canadian school, international students may apply for a work permit under the Post-Graduation Work Permit Program. The work permit may be issued for the length of the study program, up to a maximum of three years.

The valuable work experience gained while an international grad works in Canada under a Post-Graduation Work Permit can count towards a permanent residence application through Canada Express Entry system.

2. Study Visa

The Study Visa is issued to foreign students who want to study in Canada. The major requirements for the visa are that you have a job offer from a Canadian company and that you are not inadmissible to Canada for any reason.

The visa can be valid for 10 years and can be used multiple times within the next 10 years or up to 1 month before your passport expires. A visitor visa is for people who are visiting the United States for a specific purpose.

A study permit is the most common type of permit issued under the study visa category. To qualify for a study permit, you must be enrolled in a qualifying program at an accredited educational institution in Canada.

You may also be required to have financial sponsorship from a Canadian citizen or permanent resident, and proof of adequate funds to cover your costs while studying in Canada.

If you are applying for your first study permit, you will need to provide evidence that you have met the basic requirements for admission into an eligible program in Canada (such as language skills). Once you have been admitted into an eligible program and have received a study permit, you are permitted to remain in Canada while attending classes. If you decide to discontinue your studies, you must leave Canada and apply for a new study permit before returning.

3. Visitor Visa

There are not many eligibility requirements for this category just that the candidate should be in good health, should have a valid passport and have enough financial resources to pay for his and his family’s expenses.

The candidate can also apply online for a Visitor’s Visa.

There are three categories of the AIPP – Intermediate Skilled worker, High-Skilled Worker, and International Graduate program. Most applications for AIPP are processed in six months.
